Conference Purpose
The SC Department of Public Safety and the SC Department of Transportation are pleased to present the 2016 Highway Safety Conference. The Conference will bring together advocates from various highway safety disciplines, including enforcement, education, and engineering, to discuss solutions to traffic problems facing our state. We’ve tapped experts from across South Carolina and others outside our state’s borders to present a range of topics and training opportunities. The collaboration of so many diverse safety partners underscores the sharing of a common vision for driving down fatalities. Eliminating fatalities while reducing injuries is not just a vision, it is a goal we can all live with.
The Conference will provide attendees with informative general sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities. These insightful discussions and interactive forums will help attendees build upon their expertise in highway safety. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet other highway safety advocates, address challenges at the state and local levels, and return home prepared to improve the quality of life in their communities. Together, we can save lives on South Carolina’s roadways and make every day a great day in our state. We look forward to seeing you at the 2016 Highway Safety Conference in Charleston!
