At the beginning of this course, each attendee receives a course notebook that provides: 1) the five most frequent citation for each Subpart (chapter), 2) a practical overview of OSHA requirements, and 3) a wonderful reference source for any additional questions that might arise for attendees after completing this course. In addition, via the US Postal Service, approximately 3 weeks after completion of this 10-hour program, each attendee will receive a plastic personalized Federal OSHA General Industry 10-Hour Course Completion Card with a QR code and a unique serial number to prove authentication.

Speaker Bio
Paul P. McCain, PE, is President of McCain Special Project Services, Inc., which offers a wide range of engineering consulting, management consulting, and expert witness services to the construction industry. In addition to his consulting practice, for the past 30+ years, Mr. McCain has delivered hundreds of adult continuing education events on a variety of programs related to construction management, engineering, safety and law, topics which he taught as a faculty member in the Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Department at NC State University for 111/2 years and in the private sector since January 2000. Paul was co-founder and served for many years as Construction Industry Program Chair for the Southeastern Education Center of the Federal OSHA Training Institute. He continues to teach train-the-trainer Federal OSHA classes for the Southeastern Education Center at the University of Tennessee for attendees seeking to become Federal OSHA Authorized Trainers in both the construction and general Industry regulations. His adult continuing education programs and other information technology transfer efforts have been recognized with awards at local, state, national and international levels. He is frequently requested to serve as a speaker or trainer because of his ability to communicate effectively and his lively, engaging and interactive presentation style.
Schedule
Class registration is from 8:00-8:30 each day. The class will begin at 8:30. Lunch will be provided. This course is a required 10 Hours of attendance, those who do not complete the requirements will not receive the certification.

Course Fee
This course has a maximum of 25 students, and will be capped at this number. Advanced registration is encouraged so that an accurate estimate of the number of workshop participants can be obtained. Workshops with low advanced registration will be subject to cancellation. The cost for this class is $225, those attendees that are part of Local, Municipal, and State agencies receive the SCLTAP scholarship price of $125.
Who Should Attend
OSHA regulations require that all employees must be trained to recognize hazards in their work environment and basic safe working procedures necessary to avoid such hazards. This course would benefit anyone who wants to better recognize the many potential workplace hazards in order to achieve a safer work environment and reduce the possibility of OSHA penalties and costly workplace accidents. In particular, the content of this course could be most beneficial for: Municipal Employees, Crew Leaders, any new Employees involved in Maintenance Activities, Business Owners, Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, Plant Engineers, Plant Operators and Maintenance Employees, Managers of Utility Operations, Professional Engineers, and all others responsible for performing their work tasks in conformance with OSHA minimum safety and health standards as set forth in the General Industry regulations
Payment Policy
UPDATED 2/15/23 – The Transportation Technology Transfer Service now accepts Electronic Check (ACH) payments in addition to credit card payments. While credit card payments are still the preferred payment method, you now have the Electronic Check (ACH) option. Your payment must be received within 5 business days of your registration. If your registration payment is not received by then, you will not be guaranteed registration for the conference.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your registration more than 72 hours before a class, your registration fee will be refunded, less a $35 processing fee. If you do not cancel before the 72 hour deadline your registration fee will not be refunded. You may send a substitute in your place, provided that you inform us of the substitute’s name no later than 24 hours before the training. No-shows will not have their registration fee refunded.
