This newly developed, comprehensive course provides essential roadside safety training designed specifically for roadside litter cleanup in South Carolina. It is designed for local affiliates, government crews, contract supervisors, community service coordinators, and volunteer leaders who have litter cleanup as part of their programs. Developed and conducted by Clemson University’s Transportation Technology Transfer Service (T3S) within the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering, the program offers an in-depth look at Federal (MUTCD) regulations and State (SCDOT) roadside work zone requirements. Participants will learn best practices for intermittent mobile operations, required traffic control devices, and critical safety requirements to protect volunteers, community service workers, work crews, and passing motorists.
